Hi, my name is Md Shopon, I am a passionate and enthusiastic researcher with a keen interest in exploring the potential of modern artificial intelligence technologies to improve the human experience. With a strong background in generative adversarial networks , deep learning , computer vision , and research tool development, I am constantly exploring new ideas and devising creative solutions to complex problems.
Currently I am pursuing my Doctoral degree from University of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I am working in Biometric Technologies Laboratory, developing cutting edge solution for various biometric systems.
I have completed my Masters degree from University of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I was affiliated with Biometric Technologies Laboratory where I worked on person identification from their walking pattern or gait.
I have obtained my Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) from University of Asia Pacific in Dhaka, Bangladesh. I have done my thesis on Bangla Optical Character Recognition Using Deep Neural Networks .
I am a fluent programmer in Python, C, C++ and Java. I have also worked on Mobile and Web Application development. I use PyTorch and TensorFlow for developing my deep learning systems.
I have also been recognized for my academic achievements, receiving several prestigious scholarships including the Alberta Innovates and Alberta Graduate Excellence awards. Additionally, I am a competitive programmer and have participated in several international programming competitions.
I am also committed to giving back through volunteering and leadership activities. I am proud to be associated with the Graduate Students Association at the University of Calgary, where I serve as the Vice President of the Computer Science Graduate Society.
I am passionate for coding, love traveling, like listening to music, a foodie, interested in latest technology trends, AI and gaming. I watch a lot of TV series and sci-fi movies.
